Why I Write...
Lbena T-Michael
I write in retrospect.
I write in similes and metaphors.
I write with the hope
of better understanding the mind and body
that moves this pen.
I write to avoid oversharing
and self destruction.
I write in the future
where each word unfolds like a prophecy.
I write to erase the past from occupying
my wealthy and abundant present.
I write in the present to prove my existence.
